Diamond Cut Alloys
Diamond cut alloys are a desirable finish and are now being fitted to many new cars. The wheels will have part of the surface machined off to leave a shiny alloy finish which is lacquered to protect it.
Small stone chips and scuffs in alloy is very common allowing water to get behind the protective lacquer which in time causes the lacquer to appear cloudy or corrosion to start.
Diamond cutting is a precise process that is impossible to do at the roadside by our mobile units. We have our own workshop in Derby using the latest technology to refurbish diamond cut alloys.
Diamond cutting involves removing a thin layer of alloy from the face of the wheel using our specialist in house lathe equipment creating the highest quality finish and a quick turnaround.
To protect the diamond cut alloy finish we add a clear lacquer finish and cure this in our specialist oven.
